We are a local, family ranch here in Lake Chelan, Washington. Our two daughters wanted wool sheep, so in came our flock of 3 beautiful Icelandic ewes, and Rambouillet/Corriedale wether. We have built our ranch on 20 acres of raw land here in our mountains and continue to grow.
Icelandic wool is unique in that it is the original sheep of the Vikinngs. With 2 types of fiber; tag - a courser exterior wool, and pel - a finer inner wool. Ours is spun in the traditional Icelandic lopi weave. This is an ancient breed only arriving in the US in 1992. Please enjoy this luscious wool.
